GRONA SHIPPING IS FAMILY OWNED
Since 1984, the owner family Vedder has been active in the shipping industry. The family patriarch started a shipping company in 1984, having own ships and a shipyard.
After some years, the founder retired and his son continued building new vessels and started to innovate the vessels to new fuel. During the last 30 years under the Vedder family´s full control, more than 30 vessels have been designed, constructed and delivered.
The family management skills are proven not only in the Northern European waters but also Antarctic Expeditions have been facilitated by vessels under the family´s control.
HIGHLY EXPERIENCED TEAM
In daily business, the Grona Shipmanagement is led by a Managing Director and his team. The team of Inspectors are supervising the sailing vessels and reporting directly to the Managing Director.
The ISM and DOC`s are per flag state under control of the Department QA and fully self-supporting inside the organisation. All the team members are having deep experience in shipping world-wide.
The on-site newbuilding teams comprise in general of one European Newbuilding Site Team Manager and 3 up to 5 local Inspectors contracted long-term. The Site Team Manager is reporting directly to the Managing Director.
